Main task:
Establishment of immunologic assays to evaluate genetically engineered cellular vaccines in tumor and infectious diseases models.
Specific requirements:
PhD or MD/PhD title obtained within last 3 years and strong publication record. Candidates should have demonstrated solid previous experience with ex vivo culture of mouse/human dendritic cells and T cells, immunologic assays (T cell proliferation, CTL/ Th cytokine profile characterization, ELISPOT), analytical flow cytometry and histologic analyses. Previous experience with molecular biology techniques and tumor and infectious disease models are desirable. Experience with lentiviral vector production and testing is a plus.
Expected skills:
Inititative, responsibility, team-work, fluency (verbal and written) in English, strong computer skills for data analyses and presentation. Competence in supervision of students and technicians and excellent organizational skills.
This full-time position is for one year, desirable start date March 1st 2009, with possibility of renewals. Salary ranking is commensurate with qualifications (E12-E13).
