In the Bioanalytical Mass Spectrometry Group at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical
Chemistry, Germany, a position for a
Ph.D. Student (TVöD 13/2) (Code Number 07-09) is available to be filled as soon as possible.
We are looking for highly motivated students who are interested not only in routine applications of proteomics, but also in taking part in the Group's work on developing protein-analytical and mass-spectrometric methods and techniques.
The subject of the candidate's work will be mass-spectrometric based investigation of crosslinked protein-protein and protein-RNA complexes covering the entire range of "state-of-the-art" protein analytical techniques.
The successful candidate should have a strong background in protein biochemistry and protein-analytical techniques, especially protein purification and separation. Basic knowledge of the two mass-spectrometric techniques MALDI und ESI is also desirable, but will not be a prerequisite.
Payment will be according to German TVöD standard.
The Max Planck Society is committed to employing more handicapped individuals and especially encourages them to apply. Interested Diploma or Master's students should please send their applications as copies and not originals, as we cannot send documents back, with reference to the code number to
