The Position
As a Research Associate within Pharma Research Information you will work with large-scale biological and chemical data, both in-house and external, structured and unstructured. You will process and integrate the data in such a way that they can be queried and explored efficiently by scientists in Pharma Research projects. Your work will be based on ontologies, semantic technologies and text retrieval software. The requirements and use-cases will be discussed with chemists and biologists. This is a temporary 2 year position.

You have an advanced degree ( PhD or equivalent ) in biology, chemistry or a related area and a solid background in scientific programming ( C, Java ). You should have strong analytical skills and you are curious to be involved in current biological and chemical research projects and innovative when looking for optimal solutions to problems at the interface between biology, chemistry and computer science. You are fluent in English and an excellent communicator as well as an effective interdisciplinary team member.
