PhD position

As part of a DFG-project at the Department of Cell Biology and Plant Physiology the University of Regensburg now a doctorate (researcher, E13 / 2) for a period of 3 years to fill.
The aim of the project is the molecular mechanism of a plant Armadillo-repeat protein (ARO1) with the establishment of polarity in the pollen tube and the oocyte [Gebert et al. (2008), enlighten Plant Cell 20: 2798-2814].

The main objectives are the identification and characterization by ARO1-interacting proteins. We seek to implement the project, a / s average motivated / s PhD student with a diploma / MSc in biochemistry, biology or a closely related field. Prerequisites are experience in Knowledge in the field of molecular biology and genetics, protein biochemistry and
plant cell and developmental biology.

We offer the handling of a highly topical and promising topic under excellent working conditions in a new, modern Laboratory and in a scientifically ambitious, international and collegiate Working Group. The project provides a particularly wide range of molecular,
protein biochemistry, cell biology and molecular genetics Methods.
